Herbalife
From MSN Money:
“Herbalife’s stock price sank sharply last week after hedge fund manager William Ackman said that he believes the nutritional supplements company is a pyramid scheme and that he has been shorting the stock for several months. The company has vehemently denied the claims several times.”
How was this a mystery to anyone? Aren’t they analysts? Couldn’t they figure that out when found out their sales force was made up of 63 year old overweight housewives espousing their nutritional advice and recommendations?
The new lingo now is “multilevel marketing” instead of pyramid scheme. I can’t tell you how many people [neighbors, friends, relatives doctors] have gotten mad at me because I wouldn’t purchase the crap from their “business” . I also detest products that can only be purchased through a doctor’s office
A pyramid scheme? Gee, you think?
i had a future ex-wife with a garage full of that crap over a decade ago…can’t believe it lasted this long. Hilarious!
I didn’t realize they were still around, thinking that pyramid had crumbled
long ago. Maybe I’ve been too involved with my bee pollen
And Visalus franchises to notice.
