Hospital Cyberattack by Steven Mussey MD

Last year, I watched a few episodes of the deeply depressing show “Mr. Robot.” I bring this up because it contains a brief commentary on the state of hospital computer technology.  Watch this clip and be aware it is totally accurate.

This past week, a massive, but sloppy, cyber attack shut down huge chunks of the British Health System and wrecked computers worldwide.  Amazingly, though, the American hospital system seemed to escape intact (as far as we know).

Unfortunately, more of this is coming and it will be far more sophisticated in the future.
