Ridiculous Study of the Week: Obesity Can Cause Diabetes

Here is the shocking news:

Obese adults between the ages of 25 and 64 are at least four times more likely to have been diagnosed with diabetes than those who are normal weight, according to the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index.

Yup, your taxpayer money paid for this information.

What is a normal weight? I have been an abnormal weight for most of my life! I also have spent most of my life trying to get to what you refer to as a normal weight. I reached it and maintained it for a couple of years a long time ago, but it didn’t last. The more I try to lose weight, the more I gain. It would have been far better for me to wait until I reached my normal height because my normal weight back then was perfect for my normal height!

My personal physician tells me I need to get a normal amount of exercise! Back in the day, I got a normal amount of exercise, but I still weighed the same … MY normal weight. These days, I can no longer get a normal amount of exercise. After 4 surgeries on my knees (And I still have my normal knees), my normal hip needs a second surgery.

I think I’m going to keep my normal weight (which doctors don’t approve of) and see if I can live without another surgery until I reach my normal age of death.
