The VA is No Disney
Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald got in hot water for saying “When you go to Disney, do they measure the number of hours you wait in line? Or what’s important? What’s important is, what’s your satisfaction with the experience?” McDonald said. Yeah, not good. For one, people don’t literally die waiting in line at WDW. They may get bored or go crazy but death? No. Second, you really need to show that the VA gives a great experience before you start making comments like that. It’s an old rule. GOOD, FAST and CHEAP. You can only pick two. Actually, is the VA good? Fast? Cheap? Nope. Welcome to government run healthcare. Any questions?
I recently got a recruitment e-mail from the VA for a job at a VA Medical Center in a remote place in Wisconsin. Three 12s per week taking care of an average hospital census of six. Headline on the e-mail was that you got over 10 weeks paid time off each year. Typical of the value we get for our tax dollars.
He has no business being in charge of anything that affects the health and well being of veterans. He has shown that he does not have the knowledge or the concern to provide care for anyone other than himself. Shameful that he is in this position when he has so much disdain for our heroes although he is typical of this self centered, gimme, gimme Obama regime!
Yes, I am a veteran!
And, besides, Disney DOES measure the lengths of the lines.
They also let you pay to get to the front of the line, or allow you to move to the front in the event that a member of your party is disabled.
So, not only is this guy an idiot, he’s a… ummm… a really, really BIG idiot.
Agreed.
