Medical Progress by Ted Bacharach MD (retired)

Medical examinations in 2012 have made the electronic medical record (EMR) one of the main instruments required.  Many times such things as the stethoscope are being ignored.  The EMR is a potent tool and advances our capabilities.  It is, however, still important to realize that it propagates not only facts but errors.  This gives it false credence.  It appears that physicians will have to continue to provide a little bit of judgement.   Even with “medical progress” real doctorss are still needed.
