Emily Dirr, a female medical student from Northeast Ohio Medical University, is being accused of having a phony blog for 11 years. Well, that doesn’t sound bad, that is until you realize what she was doing. “Using photos that she allegedly pulled off websites, Dirr recounted a tear-jerker of a story about 5-year-old Eli Dirr, his struggle with cancer and his mother’s death in a car accident on the way to the hospital in Saskatchewan where she worked.” Unfortunately, it was all a hoax or a kind of Munchausen by Internet. What kind of future doctor would lie, cheat, misrepresent herself, tell tall tales, and manipulate emotions all to further some personal agenda. Looks like we have a making a future medical administrator. Congratulation, Emily!
