Mole People

The BBC is reporting that:

Sun ‘can harm sight as well as skin’

It is a total fluff piece so I can’t really expound on it.  Between the dermatologists, who need to show they are saving lives by scaring us into having rickets, to the ophthos, who also need some attention to go along with their high salary, we will all be relegated to living in darkness.  Does that sound natural?  They would have us become mole people.

I had a patient going to the teaching hospital nearby to get chemotherapy injected into her retina every few weeks for melanoma. Between that scary stuff and cataracts (which make ophthalmologists millionaires) I wear wraparound sunglasses even on cloudy days!
