40% of Women are Obese In This Country
Yes, you read the headline right. Forty percent of women are not just overweight, they are obese. And it is trending higher. Am I body shaming by mentioning this? I really don’t know what is politically correct anymore? What I do know is that we cannot afford the health bills coming from this epidemic. What I fear is that we are so afraid to point this issue out that it will only get worse. Nothing has stopped this obesity train yet and somehow we think there won’t be medical repercussions? This is not a women thing. Men, in this country, are not far behind. Argue all you want about the cost of healthcare but you are looking at the problem right in the…well…you know.

Job security for surgeons (bariatric surgery and tummy tucks).
Job security for ophthalmologists with diabetes.
Job security for orthopedic surgeons (knees, backs and hips).
Job security for Coca-cola, Pepsi-co, and the folks who make RC Cola.
Job security for Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, and Nutrisystem.
Job security for attorneys suing all of the above.
Why would anyone want to stop the epidemic that makes the economic health care world go round?
Seriously, all that will happen is that the Lords of the CDC will declare 35 to be the new “overweight” and 40 the new “obesity”. Then the word obesity will be replaced by “gravitational mass-burdened individuals”. End of official epidemic.
