What’s Wrong With This Picture?

A recent poll showed that:

“7 in 10 Americans are obese or overweight, but only 36 percent think they have a weight problem.”

You read that right!

If people are so oblivious to their weight (and health), and subsequent behaviors that lead to it, then how can we expect any changes by these same patients in the health metrics that are used to grade doctors?  We can’t. And yet the present system allows these same individuals, who think they have no dietary issues, to rate doctors on satisfaction surveys and somehow this is perfectly fine?

Insanity.
