The Authentic Medicine Podcast?

Why?  Why would I do something else to add to my plate?  The answer is because I am an idiot.  But, wait, there’s more.  I started this blog over 16 years ago.  I actually used to do audio back then before podcasts.  I have also done videos.   Podcasting, though, gives me a medium to talk to someone else and ask the questions that need to be asked.  Let me give you some examples.

There was a discussion recently where one residency is making all residents and faculty do a Beck’s depression inventory twice a year. And it won’t be anonymous.  Yeah, that needs to be talked about.

Or how about this.  I get asked, by PR people, to talk to their clients all the time.  One dude is a plastic surgeon who is “an experienced facial rejuvenation artist, innovator, and highly sought after trainer….has performed over 10,000 laser and cosmetic treatments, making him one of the most sought after facial plastic surgeons in the U.S. today.  His new book “The Smile Prescription” explores the art of smiling, facial expression, and innovative communication strategies….and has the remedy to America’s Physician Burnout Crisis.” Oh, really?  You have got to be kidding me.  He has the remedy?  But it may make a good podcast.

So, I am working on this.  I have some people in mind to talk to but what do you think?  Would you listen to our stuff?  Anyone I should try to talk to?  Give me your feedback in the comment section below.
