Guess Who Made $1.7 Billion Last Year?
HCSC, Health Care Service Corp, the parent of the Blues plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas, didn’t pay any federal taxes in 2018. They did receive a $1.7 billion tax refund, which increased their company’s net profit to $4.1 billion.
