| I would like to wish you a great Holiday weekend. We have an imperfect country that is still, however, the best country in the world. We all strive to be better and we are getting there though it can be painful and slow at times. My hope is that we can be more tolerant, be more positive, and try to understand and love each other more. |

I used to think we were the greatest but watching us crumple in the pandemic has got me thinking our Achilles heel is due to our obsession with individual freedoms overpowering the need for the greater good. American exceptualism – a strength for most of our history – is a weakness now
