Repeatedly COVID Tested
For some reason, we are getting clobbered with road construction in our area. I saw a sign this week which reminded me of the crazy world we live in.
Like many practices, we are getting bombarded with patients who are totally convinced they have Covid. Some of the symptoms are, indeed, worrisome for Covid. Others, however, not so much. Some people are getting tested repeatedly for Covid.
Oh, well. I guess it is better to be safe than sorry….

Since most Covid-19 testing (Ag) has a high false negative rate (sometimes as high as 30%) repetitive testing may be helpful. Unfortunately the mechanics of the test make it only slightly better than a flip of the coin.
