I’m from Canada too so please don’t forget it was Thanksgiving that took us from R barely above 1 to ICUs full.
I live in Canada. This would be illegal. Your country has not taken this seriously from day one. You put the elderly at risk. You just don’t give a shit about others in the name of freedom. The rest of the world was laughing at you when the imbecile took power. Now they are crying about you.
Look up cases for Canada (google coronavirus case rate), they are exponentially exploding daily. It’s coming. You can’t stop it. And you sound foolish with a holier than thou attitude.
Compare Canada with the Free-for -all going on in the US is a joke. No masks. Planning Thanksgiving and Christmas parties, instead of taking this seriously, and making get-togethers illegal. You know who won’t be participating in Christmas and New Years this year? 240,000 dead people, mostly the elderly, who were misfortunate enough to live in the US. My father lives in Florida. He survived hiding out 10 years from the Nazis. Now he has to hide out from other Americans who don’t give a shit. Have a nice Thanksgiving and Christmas, and wear your mask.

What Dim David doesn’t seem to know is that the CDC has published pro-mask advice, and studies showing they do know good. The damn CDC has been all over the place, and lockdowns only dragged this shit through the hot months when the virus is less virulent, preventing a grab on herd immunity. Now we have new spikes just in time for flu season. We can call it the “Canadian Method” if it helps.
Then take him back to a Canada. We don’t have a retiree shortage. And shove your mask.

On a related note, every air sampling the CDC has performed conclusively proves COVID-19 cannot survive under the bed. Your best bet is to hide there where it will be safe.
Thanksgiving will only be strange if we let it. I am not going to let it be strange. Quarantine the sick. Protect the vulnerable. The rest of us, live our lives.
