Friday Funny: When You Can’t Admit You’re Wrong
Many will take this as a political statement. It is not. It is a statement about the media. I have not seen apologies or credit given from Acosta or Fauci. If I am wrong then place the link in the comments. Is this really appropriate for a “Friday Funny”. Yes, I laugh every time I see the screenshot above.
Seriously? This is from March 2020.
He, as we all do when we are trying to figure out what’s going on, was working on the information they had at the time. That changes. Had they even sequenced the DNA yet? Did we know much about the virus at this time or was China still (still is?) withholding information. I truly believe Fauci was as transparent as he could have been at this point. Was he hedging his bets? Possibly. He led us through some tough times with opposition from the administration and many others.
The RNA, not DNA, had been sequenced and even published before that point in time. Obviously Trump was being optimistic, but knew that more resources than ever were being spent on the vaccine development.
Fauci’s general pattern of prevarications, dissembling, and reversals is repeated from his camera-hogging, earlier fame in the 1980’s. His constant pronouncing on public behaviors and allowable activities has been grossly arrogant consistent with the inability to admit wrong or fault, ever. His “leadership” was best displayed in that infamous mask/no-mask phot at the empty National’s stadium. Sadly, he should have met far MORE pushback from an administration that gave him far too much leeway for far too long.
Today’s media is nothing more than a propaganda machine.
