In FP, never got paid more than roughly $180k. I mainly did geriatrics, no o.b. and got out of peds due to the sniveling brats and irresponsible parents. Couldn’t stand that. Retired now.
Also had to take call and do hospital work too. Nonetheless, I was happy with what I got paid as the cost of living was very low where I was and lived comfortably.
Yeah, no six sports cars like some O.B.’s had but I was happy with my Audis and later a SUV (after I got rid of the Audi). Cause I could haul more “stuff” with the SUV which became important.

Ummm, I need to add I retired July 1st 2020 and was on a production basis. If I saw 50 patients a day, I probably could make more money but the N.P.’s got the “easy” ones and I was stuck with the ones with multiple problems. Took a lot longer time to deal with these people so I couldn’t “process” as many.
Early days had a mix of easy and hard patients. Later, the easy ones were siphoned off to the N.P.’s and I got stuck with the “hard” non-compliant ones. Glad I’m out of it.
