CDC Baffled People Are Still Paying Attention To Them

“This whole pandemic has been bizarre for us,” said CDC spokesman Dexter Park. “Normally, we put out recommendations like only cook a steak well-done and only fry eggs over-hard, and people don’t even pay enough attention to make fun of us, so people acting like what we say during the pandemic matters is really confusing.”

The CDC is a group of bureaucrats used to working a 9-to-5 job, making lists of recommendations that are fated to be crumpled up and thrown in a wastepaper basket. Thus, the pandemic turning them into experts whose opinions matter has caught them completely by surprise.

Like any good satire, this Babylon Bee article uses humor to expose the truth. Why does anyone still believe the CDC? I used to follow the CDC guidelines religiously. I would say, “According to the CDC…” all the time. Not anymore.

Some may argue that it is acceptable to distort the truth if it gets people to do what you think is good for public health. I disagree. A lie destroys trust. “Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus” means “false in one thing, false in everything.” This phrase is used to explain the legal principle that a witness who testifies falsely about one matter is not credible to testify about any matter. The government medical experts have been worse than falsus in uno, they have been falsus in multi.

I’m not talking about COVID guidelines that change as we get new data. I’m talking about intentional lies. Here are 3. The first 2 were admitted by the lying liar who lied. The third is a lie by omission, one so obvious it has to be intentional

1-In March 2020, as the pandemic began, Anthony Fauci explained in a 60 Minutes interview that he felt community use of masks was unnecessary. A few months later, he said he lied. He justified it by saying that had he endorsed mask wearing, it would have led to a surgical and N95 mask shortage among health care workers, who needed the masks more.

2- Not learning from his mistakes, in December 2020, Fauci admitted lying about the percentage of the vaccinated population needed to reach herd immunity:

“When polls said only about half of all Americans would take a vaccine, I was saying herd immunity would take 70 to 75 percent,” Fauci said. “Then, when newer surveys said 60 percent or more would take it, I thought, ‘I can nudge this up a bit,’ so I went to 80, 85.”

He gave wrong information to promote vaccine compliance. The sad part is that he lied for no good reason. No one was persuaded to take the jab because his herd immunity goal changed.

3- The CDC has not recognized disease-induced immunity as being at least as good as vaccination. For intelligent scientists to neglect this fact, it can only be another conscious effort to deceive and manipulate the public. No vaccine gives better immunity than the immunity one gets from having had the disease. Why should Covid be different from all others? In addition, we now have data to back up this a priori reasoning.

Vaccine mandates in the USA do not exempt people who have had Covid.  On the other hand, Europe recognizes natural immunity. Their EU Covid travel pass requires a vaccination, a negative test, or documented covid in the past 6 months. Six months is being conservative, but that time frame is about as long as we have had a vaccine.

Why does the EU accept previous infection as proof of immunity, but the USA doesn’t? Is the science of Covid different on different continents? Of course not. There’s only one conclusion. The CDC is deliberately downplaying natural immunity to manipulate people into getting a vaccine.

The CDC has become so unreliable, that I have gone back to checking their source documents. Last week, following analysis of a delta variant outbreak in Provincetown, they warned us that the delta strain could be spread by vaccinated people. But, their news releases let stand an impression that the vaccine is very effective in preventing severe disease. Read the raw data in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report and you will find that fully vaccinated people accounted for 74% of the cases and 80% of the hospitalizations. Simple math (74% vs.80%) suggests that the vaccinated did not disproportionately have mild cases compared to the unvaccinated. The total numbers are small (5 hospitalized-4 of whom were fully vaccinated), but scary. Maybe the vaccine doesn’t really protect against delta or maybe its effect is wearing off.  Either way, the CDC buried this finding. The CDC doesn’t think we can handle the truth or they are still trying their hardest to manipulate people into getting vaccinated. I don’t know which, but one thing is clear. The CDC is not being straight with us.
