More Trust Issues Over COVID

First, let me say I believe in getting this vaccine IF YOU HAVEN’T HAD COVID YET.

Second, I am continually bothered by the media’s lies:

• COVID origins? Check.
• COVID treatment? Check.
• COVID hospitalizations? Check.
• COVID deaths? Check.

Let me repeat, I am pro-vaccine.

But remember, a noble lie is still a lie.

And you cannot manipulate people because you think the end justifies the means. For example, how about this:

The reported number of COVID-19 hospitalizations, one of the primary metrics for tracking the severity of the coronavirus pandemic, was grossly inflated for children in California hospitals, two research papers published Wednesday concluded. The papers, both published in the journal Hospital Pediatrics, found that pediatric hospitalizations for COVID-19 were overcounted by at least 40 percent, carrying potential implications for nationwide figures.

Or this:

In other words, the study suggests that roughly half of all the hospitalized patients showing up on COVID-data dashboards in 2021 may have been admitted for another reason entirely, or had only a mild presentation of disease.

But Doug, you say, you are just bringing up Fox News links.

I AM NOT!

The first is from New York Magazine and the second is from The Atlantic.

Now, why did I start this post by saying I believe in getting this vaccine IF YOU HAVEN’T HAD COVID YET? Because evidence shows that natural immunity may work even better against the Delta strain. Knowing that, how do we allow these government mandates in the face of that?

And lastly, you can’t berate a vaccine and then pretend you didn’t.

To summarize, in my humble opinion:

1. Get the vaccine if you want. I do recommend it.
2. You may not need the vaccine if you had COVID already.
3. The jury is out whether the young should EVER get it.
4. The third dose has not been proven yet.
5. Let’s take an honest look at cheaper treatments for this disease.
6. What really is misinformation? I just showed examples above of how politicians and the media manipulate things.
7. Masks don’t do crap unless it is a surgical mask (or better) and even then it helps very little.
8. And don’t believe ANY politician or the media about this virus. It is all about click-baiting for them and they need hyperbole for that.
9. And if you are anti-vaccine because you don’t trust the chemicals in it then don’t be a hypocrite and eat poorly, smoke, drink, etc.

There you go. Before you dismiss this argument, please read the links above. Really. A lot of you need to take a deep breathe and read EVERYTHING. Don’t let your emotions dictate your actions.
