What Made The World Sick and Fat?

I continue to read about nutrition and exercise.  This area is actually my first love.   Prior to medical school, I used to work with pro athletes (mainly boxers) and then I went back to school for my Master’s in Education (Exercise Science).  Anyway, this stuff continues to be my hobby and the items listed in this article are right on target in my opinion.  That being said, the science of nutrition and exercise is very dynamic and continues to grow.  We just need to keep an open mind.   With that being said, here are the 13 items listed as nutritional lies which did not made us sick and fat (read the whole piece to understand why):

  8. The Healthiest Diet is a Low-Fat, High-Carb Diet
  9. Refined Seed- and Vegetable Oils Are Healthy
  10. Low-Carb Diets Are Ineffective and Downright Harmful
  11. Everyone Should be Cutting Back on Sodium
  12. Sugar is Bad Because it Contains “Empty” Calories
  13. Fat Makes You Fat
