Starting National Physicians’ Week Off Right
This Thursday is Doctors’ Day. As you may know from reading this blog, over 50%. of hospitals don’t even recognize it even though it has a deep meaning. It was been expanded to National Physicians Week in 2016 when the advocacy group Physicians Working Together (PWT) sought to celebrate and acknowledge physicians everywhere.
With that in mind, I would like to get the week off with a bang. Here is St. Joseph Healthcare proving how grateful they are to their doctors by celebrating a……….Nurse Practitioner. Forget the fact that NPs have ZERO training or certification in rheumatology. How about the fact they are NOT doctors?
Great job, St. Joseph Healthcare! That’s the way to devalue your real doctors.
This is SO in our faces!!! Hard to even believe. I am pissed.
EVERYTHING IS A BUSINESS MODEL.. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE POLITICAL CLOUT ,CITY,COUNTY STATE,NATIONAL YOU ARE JUST PEONS LIKE THE REST OF US.
YOU DID NOT PAY ATTENTION FOR LAST 45 YEARS THAT I KNOW OF. CAN YOU FIX IT?
WILL YOU? Hope so…….
My senior year in high school, I ran for student body president, but was beaten out by David Schumaker. Still, I think it’s legitimate for me to celebrate Presidents’ Day in my honor.
Change it to Physicians Day
It won’t be long before ut’s changed to National Providers Dat!
Coming out of the three years of the pandemic, CMS rewarded us with a nice payment cut. What more thanks do we need?
So true. 15% increase in staff salaries and expenses and a 1% cut.
Can you imagine if they told the federal employees we are running a deficit so need to cut your pay 15%. Instead a proposed 9% raise.
