I thought I would share the above with you. You can read the article here. It doesn’t give the NP’s side of the story but I will summarize it with this:
NPs are the Veruca Salt of healthcare. They just keep wanting more. What was once a goal of being part of the team with collaboration now has become wanting to lead the team and be competition. The only reason they want to use their online diploma mill doctor degree is to confuse patients into thinking they are seeing a physician. Calling this out, by the AMA and us, is NOT wrong. Fraud is fraud.
I say let anyone use the term. EMT’s, PA’s, arborists. Bottling boar piss and labeling it champagne might fool a buyer, but if someone can’t tell until the second glass, c’est la vie.
They aren’t confusing patients, they are DECEIVING them!!!
