Friday Funny: Reading X-Rays is Fun and Easy
Have you heard of the term “dead language?” Well, let me introduce you to “dead specialty.” And that specialty is radiology. Between AI and what you see above there is no way it survives unless they all become interventionists.
You have to love that this ad is looking for barely trained but INDEPENDENT NPs and PAs.
Maybe this post wasn’t that funny after all.
This is stupid. I got pretty good at reading major stuff on trauma x-rays but minor “flychit” not so good. Sometimes it was stuff to be ignored but other times it was stuff that needed to be pursued in the patient’s best interest.
I will say one thing, “The older the radiologist was who worked in the same hospital for a zillion years was the smartest and I sought out for questions on the films if I needed to.”
I’m going to print this off and take it to every doctor’s appointment I have and ask them if they use this service, and express my civilian outrage one way or the other. Thanks Doug!
I would never curse anyone with the phrase, “I hope you get what you deserve.” Because I don’t want what I deserve. But I think the quote that would apply here is, you get what you pay for.
Cue the usual LELT outrage … c’mon all you aggrieved NP’s and PA’s who just know you are as good as physicians, let’s enjoy you applying all the “team concept” horseshit to this story.
I equate this nonsense to saying a flight attendant can pilot a plane because they fly in them!!!
