The Spirit of Healing

Deborah Cohan, an OB/Gyn and mom of two, went into surgery to have her breasts removed, and faced it with “courage and joy”. These are the cool stories of medicine.  This is the human side that is missing with the quality indicators and computer EMRs.  Cohan held a dance party with her medical team in the operating room of Mt. Zion Hospital in San Francisco and above is her inspiring 6-minute-long video.  Enjoy.   Granted, she could pull this off only because she is a doc and that is her staff……but life, healthcare, hospitals and the environment would be so much better if this type of spirit could be spread around more.
