Actually,
I strongly suspect that after being triple vaxed with the Covid-19 vaccine (Moderna), we’re going to need a yearly “booster” hereafter based on virus mutations. Doesn’t bug me in the least bit as I expect the CDC and the vaccine makers will get the vaccines refined. Shoot, we take flu shots every year due to that virus mutating so what’s the issue? I will say the last (3rd) Moderna shot put me on the couch for a day as I felt miserable (malaise). No big deal as I’m retired and the next day I felt fine. My 28 year old mentally handicapped son had no problem with the third shot. I’d rather be on the couch than have active Covid-19. I’ve been reading about long Covid and feel so sorry for those patients. I remember when I practiced years ago, I had a couple of patients who had a BAD viral pneumonia infection, not Covid, who had much the same symptoms as these poor long Covid folks after recovery if they didn’t die. I did the best I could for them. I signed off on disability papers on a truck driver who hauled hazardous materials who had a bad viral pneumonia. Danged near died at the tertiary care center I had him transferred to. I had a bad feeling and got him out of my rural hospital ASAP after a day. He mentally wasn’t the same after that and I took care of his routine needs thereafter. Sad thing is he recognized he wasn’t the “same” and was very frustrated by it. Took care of his hobby farm and would babysit his grand kids. Wife worked and he was by no means helpless but “just wasn’t the same”. Thing is I called the I.D. guy that took care of him to query and he said the poor fellow had a bad viral pneumonia but they could not pin down the virus. Lucky the fellow survives. This was over 20 years ago so had nothing to do with Covid-19.
A little honesty would have gone a long way in this situation.
Nor should they.
Trust them?? Not as far as I can throw them!!
They LIED!! They DECEIVED!!
They COERCED!! They INTIMIDATED!!
Those collective FUCKERS made our lives miserable!!!
May they all rot in HELL!!!
Being wrong about the science while going through this pandemic was not bad. There was a lot of unknowns. Not admitting being wrong is what was truly wrong. Not disclosing massive conflicts of interest was and is wrong. Silencing dissenting voices was and is wrong.
