Wished this was out there when I was a kid and would get muscle tension headaches. They were relatively rare with me but would take me out of commission for half a day. Usually occurred when I was very physically active and playing “hard”.
Fortunately, never happened to take me out of school and after I became a teen, the headaches stopped.
The standard “ice bag” did help a lot though along with an aspirin or tylenol when it came out. Usually a nap with an ice bag on the head did the trick to shake the headache though.
