Seems to me, if NP’s were paid physician rates, then why not just hire a physician? Many NP’s would just price themselves out of a job.

Equal pay is for equal training and qualifications. And she ain’t got it

What is she talking about??? 15+ years of post secondary education? I call bullsh*t on that.

First, what the hell is a dip ACLM, etc. And with someone with all those degrees and initials, she still can’t spell.

Let’s not forget the role of our friends at the AAFP.
For 20 years, they’ve been preaching that medical care is delivered not by physicians but by a “team.”
It’s perfectly reasonable to assume that all members of the team should be treated equally.
The sel-loathing of the AAFP never ceases to amaze.

I completely agree with you, Doug, and the other comments. Is she in Canada?? Is that what NPs are paid there?? She should be happy with that instead of arguing that she’s the same as a GP. Or maybe she could go into modeling. I wonder if she puts all those letters after her name when she signs a check…

Pay doctors less…. Sounds like she fulfilling the role she was hired for perfectly. Repeat a lie often enough (we are doctor’s too!) and it becomes the truth.

She is a perfect example of the Dunning Kruger effect.
I don’t know about her exact training. But training now is an online school for NP, where everyone is accepted as long as they can pay the tuition, virtually everyone passes, and clinical training is almost non-existent.
Only someone who has gone through medical school and residency could actually compare the two. Her ideology is the same as progressive ideology where she thinks if she repeats propaganda it will become true. In fact if anything NP should be paid far less for the same procedure less than 50% as their knowledge, skills and training are meniscule
I can tell you this if patience were given the choice and had to pay themselves they wouldn’t get the money that they’re getting now. People would choose a physician if they were going to pay that much.
Her argument is the same as if paralegals demanded the government pay them the same wages as attorneys.

First of all, anyone who has TWENTY NINE letters after their name (not including hyphens and slashes) is a narcissistic whack job. And the fact that she calls herself “Dr” is laughable. Forget all of the other BS she is throwing out there. How about THIS part of the job posting she is blasting? “8 Hour shift, Monday to Friday”. Every REAL doctor is laughing their ass off that this!

Many NP’s don’t see that they are being used as a fulcrum for “cost reduction .” I’m sure that if she is asked to speak about pay parity by the suits, they’ll listen enthusiastically. Paying physicians less! Brilliant! Start all providers at PA salary and then implement p4p standards such as A1c levels for diabetics. That way the “training argument” is put to the competitive test!

She is correct, that NPs are indeed being hired as cheap labor. Of course, they are of lesser quality and ability than physicians, so the little woman hides behind a phony gender-equity argument, lies about doing more administrative garbage than physicians, and wants extra credit for doing housekeeping.
This whiny screech mouths all of the tiresome leftist buzz terms like “whole body,” “community health,” “inequitable,” and “divisive” in a ridiculous attempt to equate medicine with whatever it is that she does.
She strikes me as a waste of a perfectly good RN, forever lost to lies and envy, and a screaming, flaming sign to avoid primary care like the suicide that it has become.
Nice job NPs, you didn’t make primary care better, you’re just lowering it to your LELT standard.

She is an idiot. When she gets the adequate training to BE a physician, THEN she’ll be paid like one. When she’s paying the same malpractice insurance as a physician, she’ll be treated like one.
