Imagine a job where you hand out suboxone remotely and get paid $150-$250 an hour. Sure the ad says it is for a physician but in the subtext, it is only for a PA or NP. But why quibble? Yep, and when the NP or PA gets in trouble, the non-medical investors will up and flee to start up under a new name. Guess who will lose their license.
We are about to have a major crisis. Nurse with a BSN degree under the age of 30 is working on their online nurse practitioner degree. There will be no nurses to take care of patients. Furthermore there will be several hundred thousand more nurse practitioners all competing against the physicians.
Meanwhile my hospital’s all feel that physicians are obligated to take call for free.
And they will be sending countless non-needed referrals to the specialists wasting their time.
