House Cat Flu
This video is from 2010. The Simpsons are notorious for predicting future events but it isn’t that hard to figure out how to create a crisis. The trick is pulling it off, keeping a secret, and never admitting you were wrong. And those responsible have done just that.
I hope we learned from the pandemic. I was recently joking with my wife about wearing masks outside or when restaurants made you wear one to come in but you could take it off when you ate. We did some INSANE stuff but please stop saying, “We didn’t know.” This gives the criminals an excuse. You can read this blog and see the dates. We knew what to do and what was bullshit.
Here is what I wrote in March of 2020 when I discussed having COVID parties:
- Stop testing for CV19. It costs too much, takes too long, and are highly inaccurate. Oh, and there really is no proven treatment.
- Let’s get it over with. Let’s let the younger generation prove their worth and do what they are good at doing. I would have anyone under 50 get out and get infected. Instead of flattening the curve we spike it higher and faster so that it is gone just as fast. We will deal with the sick young ones only if they are REALLY sick. They are not social distancing anyway. And there is NO way they will stay locked for much longer. Let them build up antibodies and become the herd immunity to buffer us older folk.
- Anyone over 50 has to be quarantined 100% for a month to let the above happen.
- Let’s get a vaccine going to give to the older group.
Am I Nostrodougus? Well, yes, but that’s beside the point. I was right and I am just a lowly family doctor.
Political ideology should never be used to destroy scientific debate. We sacrificed our First Amendment to let the government work with social media to censor people. Some people are still okay with this.
Lastly, how NO ONE is accountable for their evil deeds blows me away.
Yes, the Simpsons got it right but so did I. And I am not the smartest guy in the world. I just used my brain, listened to others, and researched our past.
Let’s face it. The virus was weaponized for a coup. The economy was going too well which almost always means reelection. Note the people flip flopped on their recommendations in just the first three months. From go to Chinatown and enjoy your life and don’t close the borders to not allowing travel and masking. It was whatever benefited politically rather than medically. States of one political persuasion shut down for years were states of another persuasion only for months and there was no significant difference in mortality.
I completely agree. To this very day, there has never been anything close to a reliable mortality rate, though the entire media and government treated the virus as almost universally fatal, and instantly co-opted our profession into doing what we were trained NOT to, suspending our judgment, fueling panic, and doing harm to hundreds of millions as a consequence. If medicine ever recovers from its betrayal of its core principles, it will be after an upheaval so radical that we will only recognize these days with dismay and contempt.
Conspiracy theories are lots of fun aren’t they? I’m going to think about it and make one up too, now that we know a lot more about Coronavirus COVID 19! I’m going to write it so I will look prescient and a man ahead of my time. Give me a week or two.
