Europe has stopped this nonsense. Now, the AAP and the APA are full steam ahead. Just like COVID, when this goes badly and is found to be wrong, those responsible will slink away and take no responsibility (ex. Dr. Fauci).
I just read that the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) wants Congress to continue bonus…

I refuse to play. We had a cross-dresser that would come into the ED about 3x/week for chest pain. He always wore a pink sweater, which, in his mind, made him female. He knew that chest pain got the big workup, and he had the most worked-up ticker in modern history. While there, he abused staff endlessly and mercilessly. The first time I treated him the nurses told me that if I didn’t affirm his femaleness, that he’d make my life a living hell. I let him know I’d treat him with respect, but wouldn’t address him as female. Eventually, he referred to me as his ‘brother veteran’, because he spent a couple of weeks in basic before being hurled like bad fish, and I spent 15 years in uniform. I never thought I’d live to see the end of the ‘great experiment’, but now, barring throwing myself in front of a speeding bus, I find it quite likely. We now deserve destruction on a biblical scale.

Canada continues the insanity as well. I’m fine with whatever an adult chooses to have done as long as I don’t have to pay for it. But I’m living the nightmare for the kids. Our adorable granddaughter (7) whose 2nd mom transitioned when the child was too young to remember is now apparently “exploring different identities.” Damn, when I did that, it was called playing house. Somebody had to be Daddy, somebody had to be Mommy, and we often only had girls participating. Details are limited because I have been determined to be a deplorable and thus too toxic and narcissistic to have any contact. I just hope the craziness follows Europe’s trend before my granddaughter is old enough to begin “affirming” care.

There will NEVER be any responsibility, accountability or punishment for those who created and pushed this insanity.
