The Joint Commission references NFPA 101-2012, 18/19.7.5.6 to manage combustible posting volume in a health care environment. This applies to the use of combustible decorations that are applied to walls. ceilings, and doors that are not fire-rated, including circumstances where they may be allowed without reference to a specified aggregate if used in limited quantities where a hazard for fire is not present.
