Glad I was able to retire and I just don’t mean to rub it in. Doug’s my age and bailed too. I don’t blame him or me mind you.
Call, hospital and office practice was getting to be too much for me and I was able to retire a bit early. Doug did this thing called DPC that is likely more tolerable but in rural, underserved areas, docs likely are expected to do more. Beware of going to a rural area. Crime might be lower but it might be expected one would do a “traditional” practice as mentioned above.
That will burn one out sooner rather than later as shown but a lot of physicians that would stay in my area for 1 or 2 years then “flew away”.
EVERYTHING IS A BUSINESS MODEL. Your question is did you design the Menu or are you on the MENU..By the time of the meet and greet or info to bring you up to date on changes,hear your opinions, it is ALREADY A DONE DEAL. They are just deciding who to keep and who to lose.. Yes Virginia, THEY ARE OUT TO GET YOU.YOU TOO FRED,SAM BILL…
