There are indeed cheap, non-medical endoscopes out there that are pretty good. I have one that’s not controlled from the eyepiece (ie. cheap) but many times I’ve been able to manipulate it from the base to recover a lost item in a hard to get to space. It does have a channel for a forceps to grab stuff. I like it a lot. Never tried to use it in a vending machine as it would be too obvious and much easier to put the money in and get the desired object if so desired.
