Description:
In episode #2 of the Placebo Journal Podcast, hosts Doug and Vance explore a humorous story submitted by a patient about an amusing yet disastrous experience with two inexperienced nurses shaving his privates. The hosts discuss the perspective of humor from the patient’s point of view and touch upon the topic of care at the VA. Additionally, they share an anecdote about crashing the yearly AAFP Scientific Assembly, now known as FMX, by wearing Lederhosen during the October event. The podcast concludes with a conversation about the importance of humor in medicine as a healing mechanism for burned-out physicians.
Dear Doug, Most of your readers are very busy private practiotioners. We do not have much time to view Youtube and other videos. As you will recall the average human can read about ten times faster than listening to podcasts or viewing video. Most Doctors are probably twice as fast in absorbing information. Perhaps you could post the transcription of your videos her int the reborn sort of Placebo Journal?
