Change Healthcare Hack
It’s easy to believe that bad actors wanted to attack our already damaged healthcare system. Yet, reading the comments on Twitter (X) and Reddit reveals that many find it even easier to believe that Optum and United Healthcare are benefitting so mightily from it all that they deliberately left the front door unlocked.
It feels like a conspiracy.
Many a time I have found myself unable to find medical records and the patient acted like it was the end of the world. some solo practitioner who retired a decade ago, maye died, and records can’t be found. Sometimes anger directed to me. A couple of times I had to get nasty. “So if my office wer hit by lightning and burned to the ground, or hit by a flood or tornado, and everything destroyed, you will never be able to get medical care ever again because we can’t find out what antibiotic the doctor used for your bladder infection 20 years ago.”
